There's a Vector in my Sector!

This is the second assignment as part of the Game Design and Development 1 course available through Coursera, by Michigan State University. You can learn more here:  Coursera - Game Design and Development with Unity 2020 Specialization

Assignment Description:

In this assignment, you will complete the 2D Shooter project. In part 1 of this assignment, you will follow along with a tutorial to create a 2D Shooter, and then in part 2, you will modify the game to transform it into your own.

What changed, EVERYTHING:

- There are 3 levels, each with bosses, when you get to level 3 it'll continue from level 1 and keep your score going.

- I replaced and added my own enemies. The ones provided are kinda bosses now.

- I replace the player sprite with my own and added a turret.

- I made my own shaders using shader graph to get everything to glow.

- Camera effects, bloom is used for the glow effect.

- I wrote a lot of code to change how enemies spawn.

- I replaced and added sounds effects with royality free effects.

- I replaced the music with a royality free song.

- I replaced all the menu graphics.

Neat little game the music was a bit loud maybe you could add volume sliders?

(1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback! I'll add some settings in there and definitely add some UI for settings. Sounds like I need to lower the music volume by default.

This game is really fun! I love the visuals - it feels like Tron in a petri dish. Simple and good with very satisfying sound effects.

Thanks! I'm thinking of actually finishing it and making it better.
